a poet’s words

The rain can start
In a blink
With no warning
To be given

When the blood
Won’t wash away
Do you just ask
To be forgiven?

Being human
Its obsolete
Spraying words
On the concrete

Maybe to feel
Less incomplete
It just needs to
Be released

I feel as though
There’s no hope left
But it was never about hope

Its so clear
Not complicated
How is one supposed to cope?

Fires burning
And its spreading
Its coming over here
Across the rivers
Across the seas
I feel the end its near

A poet’s words
Could kill you
If it wanted to
Oh you’ll be the death of me

A poet’s words
Could end and start it all
If it wanted to
Let the kite fly free

Thunder strikes
All the time
With no cries
To be heard

But suddenly
Eyes are open
But vision seems
To be blurred

Being human
Its not discreet
Its yelling, screaming
Filling up the streets

Maybe to not feel
The heat
It just needs to
Be ceased

I feel as though
There’s no hope left
But it was never about hope

Its so clear
Not complicated
How is one supposed to cope

Fires burning
And its spreading
Its coming over here
Across the rivers
Across the seas
I feel the end its near

A poet’s words
Could kill you
If it wanted to
Oh you’ll be the death of me

A poet’s words
Could end and start it all
If it wanted to
Let us all actually be free
